What does IMS stand for?
IMS is the actual name however in 1954 when the company was founded it was called Industrial Metal and Salvage. In 1957 the family incorporated with the name Scrap Metals Inc. In 1978 they renamed it IMS Recycling Services, Inc.
What are your hours?
Our Public Buying Dock we are open Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Our office and truck scale hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What is the difference between a public buying dock and a truck scale?
|The Public Buying dock is for the individual (residential) client that is bring in CRV material, electronics or small quantities of metals as well as small loads from an industrial client like an electrician or a plumber that has some old parts or end cuts. The large truck scale is for IMS trucks for the accounts we service, for large dealer clients bringing in large loads of material. Also we handle our contractors that need their Source Separated Recycling reports from our Certified Facility.I am a machine shop, can you service our facility?
Absolutely! IMS can service large and small machine shops on the U.S. or maquiladoras on the Mexican side of the border. We can bring you boxes of all sizes to suit your needs. We will be able to give you excellent service, payments, reporting and if needed Certificates of Recycling or Destruction.
Can you handle a demolition company?
We sure can! We can drop open to or lockable roll off containers at any location you need. We can handle multiple locations at the same time, keep your reporting accurate and even put job numbers on the scale tickets and payments for your convenience. We are Certified Source Separated Facility. Our dispatch is able to respond within 24-48 hours of your request.
Is IMS a certified Source Separated Facility?
Yes we are! Once you set up an account with us, we can apply your job number to our scale and purchase tickets. You will have all of the information you need to show the weight you have diverted from the landfill.
Do you take appliance?
IMS will accept your appliances if you deliver to our facility and we can forklift unload. The items must be free of coolants and/or oils.
